The short answer

This site uses no cookies. Not ours, not anyone else's. That is also why there is no consent banner here.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to store, so it can remember something between pages or between visits. Some are necessary to run a service; others exist for measurement, advertising or cross site tracking.

What we checked, and how

We checked the live site, not just the source. On the home page every resource loads from our own domain, and nothing is stored in the browser:

• Cookies: none
• Browser storage: empty
• Requests to external domains: none
• Analytics, advertising or external maps: none
• Fonts: self hosted, not from Google
• The explainer video: self hosted, not on YouTube

How the site works without them

The site is static. Choosing a language is a different URL, not a stored value. There is no login and no shopping cart, so there is nothing to remember.

What about the system

Purchases happen at app.biss.tours, which is a separate system. There, functional cookies are needed to keep a tour running. They are necessary for the service and are not used for tracking or advertising.

If this changes

If we ever add analytics, a cookie or a third party component, we will update this page and ask for your consent before switching it on, as Amendment 13 to the Privacy Protection Law requires.
