This text was written to match what the site actually does and the applicable law, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. It describes our practice faithfully and is not a substitute for legal review.
Who we are and what we sell
Biss is a platform for self guided food tours, operated by Giraffa Urban Experiences Ltd., company no. 516096815. What we sell is a link to a tour: a route that runs in your phone's browser, leads you between food stops, and entitles you to a dish at each one.
The creator, and us
Every tour is built by a content creator whose name appears on the tour page. Your contract is with Biss, and Biss is who to contact for any question, problem or cancellation request.
What the price includes
One dish at each food stop listed in the tour, for the number of participants purchased. Points of interest and shopping stops are part of the route at no extra cost. Drinks, extras and anything ordered beyond the included dish are not included and are paid directly to the business.
Single or pair
A tour is sold for one person or for two, as stated on the tour page. On a pair tour both participants follow the same link at the same time, and each receives a dish at every stop.
Validity
The link is valid for the period stated on the tour page and in your purchase confirmation. Within that period you can set out whenever you like, with no booking needed.
Opening hours and stops
The stops are independent businesses with their own opening hours, shown on the tour page. A stop may occasionally be closed. If that happens, write to us and we will find a solution: an alternative stop, a partial refund or an extension, as appropriate.
Prices and offers
Prices include VAT and are shown in shekels. A sale price, when shown, is the price actually charged, and its validity date appears beside it.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation terms are set out on the cancellation and refunds page, and they are broader than the law requires: as long as the tour has not been opened, you can cancel for a full refund up to 14 days from purchase.
Responsibility and conduct
The tour is self guided and takes place in public space. You are responsible for your own safety, for obeying traffic rules and for treating the businesses with respect. Anyone with a food allergy or sensitivity is responsible for checking with the business before eating; the dietary marks on the tour page are information given to us and are not a substitute for checking on the spot.
Age
Purchase requires being 18 or older. Minors may take part accompanied by a responsible adult.
Intellectual property
The content, images, routes and marks on the site and in the tour belong to Biss or to the creators, as applicable. They may not be copied, distributed or used commercially without written permission. A tour link is personal and may not be transferred or shared beyond the number of participants purchased.
Changes to these terms
We will update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top will change accordingly. The binding version is the one in force at the time of purchase.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Israeli law, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv Jaffa have jurisdiction.
